Having Clean Oil Every Day
There is a cost benefit to having clean oil in your load tap changes.
Filmax removes carbon and water contamination and maintains insulating oil at super clean levels.
Clean oil minimizes arc duration and severity, extends contact life, and eliminates choking deposit related to equipment service and failures.
Problem:
The end result of Load Tap Changer switching is the direct accumulation of carbon contamination in insulating oil.
Temperature and other variables cause the formation of condensation in insulating oil. Both carbon and water eventually mix with the insulating oil decreasing the dielectric constant of the fluid to a point where catastrophic failure can occur.
In order to prevent this, you must drain and replace, or clean the fluid. The whole process of maintaining a load tap changer compartment - from scheduling crews and preparing work orders to handling oil and filtering solids and sludge - is time consuming and expensive.
Filtration Element Quality
